The Gateway's Haunted Playhouse

The funniest thing to me about my haunt experience is that I left rural Indiana for Long Island, NY & I being spooky as I am, am ready to take on whatever theme they want to do... Our haunt was a fuckin farm. Not to be rowdy & curse on the main, but that was the most devastatingly ironic thing to happen in my opinion, however those projects & time schedule probably my favorite.

We got to make multiple costumes in multiple sizes for any actors since the list changed nightly- I made a chicken man suit, gooed & strawed scarecrows, and learned how to use silicone & coloring. Aside from costume related things, I was switched to makeup team come run of the haunt. I was also assigned a break giver, meaning I ran multiple parts of the haunt for actors while they took their nightly breaks. I even made my way to the chainsaw room!
